Why we built this
Picking switches, keycaps or stabilizers used to mean hours bouncing between vendor sites, Reddit threads, scattered YouTube videos and dated spec sheets. The information existed — it just lived everywhere except in one searchable, current place.
KeebDepot normalises those vendor and brand listings into one table you can actually filter — every switch, keyboard, keycap set and stabilizer described with the same fields, so a spec means the same thing on every page. Prices come from vendor listings and are refreshed on a schedule; each offer shows when it was last checked, because a stale price you can see is more useful than a fresh one you have to trust. Keyboards additionally carry compatibility data, which is what the build calculator runs on.
How we make decisions
Specs are taken from the manufacturer or the vendor listing and mapped onto one shared vocabulary, so “gasket mount” or “PBT” means the same thing everywhere. Prices are pulled from vendor listings by a scheduled job rather than by hand; most offers are re-checked within a day or two, and every offer row states its own age so you can judge it yourself. Nothing is ordered by what pays us.
What is not here yet. We publish no scores or star ratings — there is no scoring system behind the scenes waiting to be revealed. There are no lab measurements either: no force curves, no decibel figures, no actuation endurance testing. That work needs equipment and sample units a private project does not have. Both are on the roadmap, sourced from published open data with attribution rather than invented here — until then their absence is the honest answer.
Where a product is available through an affiliate partner you will see a disclosure badge on the Buy button. Affiliate status changes neither the price you pay nor the order products appear in. See our disclosures for the full mechanics.
Who builds this
KeebDepot is a one-person project, built and written by Viktor, a working programmer who types for a living and got tired of cross-referencing spreadsheets to buy a keyboard. It is a private project — no company behind it, no outside funding, no sponsored placements. If you want to contribute data, flag an error or collaborate on a guide, see below.
What we actually type on
Three boards, all on silent switches — after a full day of typing near other people that argument settles itself. It is a narrow sample and it biases the guides, so it is better stated than hidden: we have hands-on time with these, and specs plus published measurements for everything else.

MonsGeek M1 V5
Barebone kit, built up with Outemu Silent Lemon switches and blank black keycaps.

Leobog Hi75
Outemu Silent Peach switches, patterned keycaps, rotary knob.

Cidoo QK61
The 60% in the rotation — same Outemu Silent Lemon switches as the M1 V5.
